Building Equity Through Food

Connecting food resources and people with purpose so no one goes hungry.

About Brampton Food Hub

The Brampton Food Hub is a shared space where food, people, and purpose come together to fight hunger. To fulfill this purpose, we work with community organizations, volunteers, and partners to strengthen food security across Brampton and ensure individuals and families have steady access to nutritious and culturally appropriate food.

Through coordinated storage, distribution, training, and shared services, we help communities serve more people with dignity, efficiency, and care. Let’s build a stronger and more connected local food system.

Who We Are

Inspired by the vision of the Peel Community Collaborative (PCC) and its network partners, the Brampton Food Hub is a joint effort led by five non-profit agencies, including Knights Table, Punjabi Community Health Services, Free For All Community Services, Bethel Outreach Community Services, and All People’s Church. Our goal is to build system capacity and create a sustainable food network that supports food security for everyone in Brampton.

Programs and Services

Building Food Security Through Collaboration, Care, and Community

Our programs focus on improving food access, reducing waste, and supporting communities through coordinated services and shared resources.

Food Sourcing and Storage

We offer safe and reliable dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage to ensure consistent access to nutritious and culturally appropriate food.

Food Inventory Management

We use coordinated systems to manage donations from collection to distribution. This improves transparency, reduces waste, and helps partners and donors understand how food moves through the food hub.

Food Packing and Distribution

Our team and volunteers assemble hampers and support scheduled distributions for partner agencies, ensuring food reaches people with care and consistency.

Volunteer Programs

Volunteers are the heart of the Brampton Food Hub. From warehouse support to community outreach and event coordination, we offer flexible and meaningful opportunities for individuals, families, and corporate teams to make a difference.

Training and Capacity Building

We provide training in food safety, leadership, logistics, and community coordination to help volunteers and partners strengthen local food systems.

Shared Services

We support smaller organizations by offering shared access to storage, equipment, logistics, and operational resources. This reduces duplication and strengthens the overall network.

Community Events
and Engagement

We host and support food drives, awareness campaigns, and community events that bring people together around food security, education, and inclusion.
